ABOUT ME+MY IDEAS+THE WORLD OF ME
My name is Nilange Lakshike Bandara Aththanaike (N.L.B.Aththanaike). I am a boy of 17 years old. I live in 32/7B, Raymond Road, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka. I go to D.S.Senanaike College in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
I like to study subjects like Buddhism (My Religion), Maths, Science, and Quantum Physics and of course computer programming. I had a hobby of collecting stamps. But I do not pay much attention to it. Tennis and Cricket are the sports I like best. However, I have not continued playing tennis in the school because I could not go for practices for a long time. At home I play tennis and cricket very much. Basketball is also very exciting to play. Swimming is a good sport that I like. Adventures, Surprises, Voyages, Trips are moments that I enjoy very much. I like music too. What about books? I read novels of adventures and detective stories. I like to read anything related to Computers. I enjoy playing MP3s, VCDs, CDs, songs on multimedia creations using my PC. Among PCs I dream of a machine that is about 1 GHz, Fully Multimedia, 1GB of Memory. Recently I heard that there are such PCs available. Though I am dreaming of buying a such thing. Will it become true? Oh! well a PC that suits your needs is the best. I mean a friend in need is a friend indeed. I have no friends that I do not like. I like friends. Because every living thing is a friend to me. I do not know why. I like equations, procedures, environments related to Maths. I must say that I love my country and the world of Nature. I always think how to make a good, peaceful, lively, happy looking, unviolated environment and a Nature that every living thing can live happily. There are dislikes too. But they are not strong. I do not like to eat meat excluding fish. I sometimes do not eat fish also. I think avoiding them makes me healthy. I do not like mental pressure, stress, commotion, war, disturbances, mad jokes, bad guys or equivalent things. If there are such things I will avoid it.
I must say that I have a hobby that never stops. Because it is so useful. The hobby that I like best is computing. Especially I do programming in tiny quantities. Thus I need knowledge about that very much. That is my satisfaction. I also enjoy playing sound and viewing video and animation. The Internet is the place where I improved my knowledge of everything including social activities. Thus I must thank every one who gave me the possibility of using a PC, the Internet and Email.
They made me really sticked to computing. The question that I always try to get the answer is how do you create such things in the computers and machines that gives us easy to access and easy to achieve amazements? (The answer can be the computer programming techniques). The amazements made me to get on computer programming. Because I am doing my Advanced Level Studies I could not carry on learning many new things. Everyday many new things are happening. The Microsoft, after their struggle, has found a new programming language called C#. Well, that is a good example how the subject evolves each day.
At present I am having the school vacation. I am going for tution these days for my Advanced Level. The examination will be in year 2002. Fortunately I still have a little time to do computing. But in the future there will not be I am sure. When it is getting closer to Advanced Level Examination this web site won't get it's frequent updates. I am doing Chemistry, Physics, Combined Maths (Pure and Applied Maths) for the Advanced Level.
